As the picture implies, these women mean business! (They are actually super sweet, and a lot of fun to work with, not to mention dress to impress). The women showed here are the executive committee for WIB. The Women in Business at University of Toronto Rotman Commerce "aims to highlight the success of female leaders in business and offer opportunities for students to be exposed to different industries and companies through events, programs, and partnerships", but I think it should also read, inspiring business women everywhere, intelligence, fashion and attitude. It was a pleasure working with you ladies!

"Things in my Backyard"
So today, as I was studying for my Abstract Art class (outside of course - I'm not letting summer school get in the way of having a tan), I got a little distracted by this weird looking bug that kept flying around me. I decided to watch him and his moves, in order to catch him before he landed on/bit me. He buzzed around for a bit and then dove right into the grass. He disappeared. I was immediately reminded of that Ants movie from my childhood, and again fascinated by the idea of seeing the world as a small creature, or even seeing the world from different perspectives. That's what brought this little series about. Some images are pretty easily recognizable, but perhaps they are things that we don't usually look at or, at least don't look at from these angles. Enjoy!

Green grass and flowers
The weather outside has me wanting to do another green scenery photoshoot. This one here is an oldie, and you probably recognize the dress and the model from a previous blog post, thats because this is from the same series. Things that I love about this photo is the different shades of green, the bare foot being tickled by grass, and the sun's backlighting. Hopefully the weather keeps up, cause I'm inspired to do a similar looking shoot soon!!

Talk About Stunning Headshots...
So its been a while since I've done a photoshoot, but finally, I got around to one, and the shots turned out wonderfully. There are so many more great images, but I was too excited to post this one in particular, the others will have to wait. I've been wanting to add another really great headshot to my portfolio, and I really love this shot, mostly because I find the contrast between Caitlin's piercing light eyes and the dark red colours of the photo very interesting. Although the necklace is intended as a statement piece, I really think it compliments and neutralizes the warm colours in the image.

The magic of Picnik
Wow, so exams totally distracted me from creating a new blog post, however I hope I've made up for it with this large series of photos. I took these about two years ago but got inspired to dig them up from my hard drive a few days ago when I registered for the premium version of Picnik which is an online image editor. I re-edited my photos and cross processed them to give them a new feel. I was also inspired to pull these out due to the overwhelming amount of nautical inspired clothing that is in stores right now.
As for location, these were all taken in a little spot on Harbourfront close to where York St ends. I highly recommend it for photoshoots or even for cute little picnics.

Carefree
Also taken on Miami Beach, I love this photo because it has a sense of warmth and happiness to it. I personally love the sun, the smell of the beach, the feeling of sand in between your toes and the cold splash of water when it first hits your sunburnt feet - haha. Nicole twirls around at the edge of the beach and truly takes the whole experience in. I can't wait 'till summer!!!

The Night is Young
This shoot was shot right beside Pearson Airport. At this hour the planes landing pass right over your heads, and I was hoping to get them in the shot, but as I quickly noticed, planes only landed every five minutes and there was a lot of time to shoot between plane landings. The best shots ended up being taken in these 'between' periods. It funny but every time I look at these pictures, the setting and model kind of remind of a character Jlo would probably play in a drama movie.
